Bowling for Fun....

So, Sunday afternoon, we did a family bowling time. We bowled for a couple of hours and we had a great time. Enjoy the pictures~

My favorite thing to do at Christmas time is to look at the Lights. Why? I am not really sure, but I know that if I don't look at the lights, my heart is heavy. One of the best ways for me to get a gin on, is to go to the Festival of Lights. So, this year, we actually went after Christmas, because I was waiting for my sweet niece to enjoy it with me. So, here are a few pictures from the light show.

It was raining pretty hard, there is a reflection of the lights in the puddle.

Christmas~

To start our morning off....we woke to a white Christmas.

I think it was my first one...that I remember anyway.

After stockings, we read the Christmas story and pray. It is our way of reminding us why we are doing this in the first place. Bugg chose to read the story this year.

She loves photography and I love her pictures....

so, she gave me a framed collage of some of my favorites!

We headed out to Nana and Papas in the early afternoon, after I finished making the turkey and the dressing. T-rex hates getting loves from the girls...so Bugg really took advantage of that.

Christmas Eve~

So, we headed out to the Luiz's for Christmas eve. We arrived just before 6. I started taking pictures of the tree.....

then the entire lights went out, not just blew a fuse went out, but the entire block went out. So I have Peanut call Nana and Pop while we are lighting candles to see if it is up there way as well. They are only a few blocks from the Luiz house. Well, Nana and Pop are out as well. We hadn't started dinner yet, Cay was cooking some pecan bars, so the dinner was on hold.

Ken, didn't budge much. Thought the lights were out, nothing to do....

He didn't either.

Peanut and Kaylee went to her room to hang out in the dark.

The rest of us decided that since we have no dinner, we will eat chips and dip. I had brought Chile cheese dip, Dorothy had made fresh salsa and Cay had made a guacamole dip. So to the table for chips we went.

and again...

Bugg really wanted to open presents, so she and Michelle were reading magazines by candle light.

So we decide, this might take a while and in the mean time; Eric finds that his grill is out of propane, so we can't really finish the dinner on the grill either. What else is there to do??? Open presents.
